Exactly one year later, CAST was commissioned to extend the Children’s Rooms I on the third floor of the Brown Thomas flagship store in Dublin. This involved reorganising the original room layout demonstrating the overall flexibility of the original idea for the children’s department. The cash desk was moved to a new location, allowing sales staff to fully address the arrival/gifting hall which was extended. The new extension houses a new and enlarged Girl’s Room with a new large changing room to the rear. The family of furniture is also extended with new corian and steel tables made and new brass signage marking the entrances to the department inlaid in the oak parquet floor.
