Emmett Scanlon has been Irish Correspondant for A10 since 2006. In 2008 Emmett invited Sarah Cremin to act as co-correspondant for the magazine.
“Rather than reporting on the latest doings of the all-too-familiar big names that crop up in all the architecture journals, A10 casts its net more widely to take in the many other interesting things that are happening in the old continent, devoting equal attention to the architectural production in Western, Central and Eastern Europe. With clear and informative reporting, A10 presents new buildings and projects by tomorrow’s stars, forgotten masters and as yet unknown talents.”
Since 2006 our aim has been to take emerging Irish architects to a European audience, showcasing their work via building visits and reports, tour guides to the mid-lands, studies on emerging practices and interviews with architectural practitioners. This enables the work of Irish architects to participate in a critical architectural debate among European peers.
